Lunker (“the App”) is developed by Stefan Crafoord-Wiklund.
Information We Collect
Location Data
The App uses your device’s location, or the fishing spots you save, to calculate moonrise, moonset, and solunar feeding periods. Those calculations happen on your device. To show weather and tides, only the geographic coordinates of the selected spot are sent to the services described under Weather & Tide Data — never your identity.
Saved Spots and Catch Log
Your saved spots and catch log, including any photos you attach, are stored on your device. If iCloud is enabled for the App, they sync between your devices through your private iCloud database, which we cannot access.
Weather & Tide Data
Weather and marine forecasts are fetched from Open-Meteo, and tide predictions from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Only geographic coordinates are sent.
Purchases
Lunker Premium is purchased through Apple’s App Store, which handles all payments. We never see your payment details.
Notifications, Widgets and Apple Watch
Feeding-period alerts are scheduled locally on your device. Widget and Apple Watch data are shared only between the App and its own extensions on your devices.
Advertising and Analytics
The App contains no advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites. It uses TelemetryDeck to collect anonymous usage and error analytics — for example which screens are opened and whether a forecast failed to load — so we can see which features are used and fix problems. These signals contain no personal data, no location, and nothing you type, and are not tied to your identity.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. The App has no user accounts and does not collect personal data beyond what is described above.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page.
