Privacy Policy for Nassau

Nassau (“the App”, including its Apple Watch app) is developed by Stefan Crafoord-Wiklund.
Information We Collect
Account Data
You can try the App without creating an account; a limited number of rounds can be recorded anonymously. If you create an account, we store the email address you sign up with and a securely hashed password. If you enter a Handicap Index, it is stored with your account so course handicaps and score differentials can be calculated.
Rounds and Scores
The rounds you play, your scores (including holes you pick up), the tee you played, your Handicap Index at the time of the round, and any shots you record are stored on our servers under your account so your history stays in sync and is not lost if you change devices.
Other Players
When you add other players to a round, the name, Handicap Index, tee and scores you enter for them are stored with your round. They are visible only to you, are not linked to any account of theirs, and are deleted with the round or with your account. Only add details the other players are happy for you to record.
Location Data
The App uses your device’s location to show nearby golf courses, to show distances to the green on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and, if you use shot tracking, to record where shots were taken. Distances are calculated on your devices; shot positions are saved only as part of rounds you choose to record, and are visible only to you.
Photos
Photos you attach to holes are uploaded to our servers and are only accessible from your account.
Apple Watch and Apple Health
While you play a round with the Apple Watch app, it runs a golf workout so distances stay up to date with your wrist down. With your permission it uses HealthKit to record that workout (duration, active energy and walking distance) and to read heart rate, active energy and walking distance during it. Unless you turn it off in the Apple Watch app’s settings, the workout is saved to Apple Health on your devices. Health data stays in Apple Health: it is never sent to our servers, never used for advertising or marketing, and never shared with anyone.
Purchases
Nassau Premium is sold through Apple’s App Store; we never see your payment details. We store which plan you have and when it expires with your account, so Premium works on all your devices.
Advertising and Analytics
The App contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking. To run and improve the service we look at aggregate statistics computed from the data on our own servers — for example the number of rounds played or Premium subscribers — never to profile individual users.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Account emails (such as password-reset codes) are delivered through our email provider, Resend, which processes your email address only to send them. Your data is used solely to provide the App’s features.
Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated data (rounds, scores, other players, shots, and photos) at any time from Settings inside the App. Workouts saved to Apple Health are managed in the Health app.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page.
