Privacy Policy for Jeroboam

Last updated: 26 July 2026

Jeroboam (“the App”) is developed by Stefan Crafoord-Wiklund.

Information We Collect

Account Data

The App requires an account to sync your cellar. We store the email address you sign up with, a securely hashed password, and the display name you enter at sign-up.

Cellar and Journal Data

The wines you add to your cellar, your ratings, and your drinking journal entries (including notes and dates) are stored on our servers so they stay in sync and are not lost if you change devices.

Photos

Photos you attach to journal entries are uploaded to our servers and are only accessible from your account.

Label Scanning

Wine label recognition runs entirely on your device using Apple’s Vision framework and, on supported devices, Apple Intelligence. Nothing is sent to any third party. To improve recognition quality, when you confirm a scanned wine we store the label photo, the text recognized from it, the matches the App suggested, and which wine you picked, linked to your account. Label photos are used solely to improve the App’s wine recognition; if you delete your account they are retained in anonymized form, permanently unlinked from you and from any account.

Advertising and Analytics

The App contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking of any kind. The only usage data we record is the first-party scan telemetry described above, used solely to improve label recognition.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is hosted by Supabase on servers in the European Union (Ireland), encrypted in transit, with access restricted so each account can only read its own records.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Your data is used solely to provide the App’s features.

Data Export and Deletion

You can export your data as JSON and permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings inside the App. Label photos from confirmed scans are the one exception: they are kept in anonymized form, unlinked from any account, as described under Label Scanning above.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page.
