Lunker predicts the best fishing times for your location by combining solunar theory (lunar major and minor feeding periods) with sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset times.
Lunker uses standard astronomical algorithms to compute the moon’s position and lunar transit times for your coordinates, then derives major and minor solunar periods around moonrise, moonset, upper transit, and lower transit.
Your location is needed to calculate accurate moon and sun times for where you fish. Location data stays on your device and is never sent to external servers.
Yes. Use the location picker to search for and save any location, and switch between them on the Today tab.
Times are computed from astronomical formulae and are accurate to within a minute for any location on Earth. Solunar feeding periods are an estimate based on the lunar transit model — use them as a guide, not a guarantee.
Make sure you’ve granted location access, or add your fishing spot manually using the location picker.
