Otta (“the App”) is developed by Stefan Crafoord-Wiklund.
Information We Collect
Account Data
The App works without registration: an anonymous account is created automatically so your hunting log can be backed up and synced. If you later choose to sign in, we additionally store the email address you sign up with. We do not collect your name or any other profile information.
Hunting Log
The entries you record — hits, misses, and sightings, together with species, time, place, and weather conditions — are stored on our servers under your account so your log stays in sync and is not lost if you change devices. Your entries are visible only to you.
Location Data
The App uses your device’s location to compute sunrise and sunset times, to tag log entries with where they happened (only when you record an entry), and to fetch local weather.
Weather Data
Current weather is fetched from the Open-Meteo service. Only geographic coordinates are sent — never your identity or account information. See Open-Meteo’s terms for details.
Purchases
Otta Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple’s App Store. We never see your payment details.
Notifications and Widgets
Hunting-time notifications are scheduled locally on your device. Widget data is shared only between the App and its widget on your device.
Advertising and Analytics
The App contains no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. Your data is used solely to provide the App’s features.
Data Deletion
You can delete individual log entries in the App at any time. To permanently delete your account and all synced data, contact us at stefan@crawik.com and we will handle your request promptly.
Children’s Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this page.
